Random: Just finished watching hkdrama called "The Family Link" 師奶兵團 (21 eps) that's kinda like the Chinese version of the American TV show "Desperate Housewives"...except they played down on the beauty part so real housewives can relate or whatnot (^^) It's got mystery, love affairs and a crossdressing husband! O_o

Finished watching all of the above~

Heart of Greed 溏心風暴: 40 ep hkdrama in modern setting focusing on a family who runs an abalone business...mostly family problems with some romance thrown in (I love Bosco but his character kinda sucked)


Kuitan 喰いタン : Watched the 1st ep of this jdrama after Ryohei mentioned it on his blog (^-^) Before I knew it, I saw the finale (ep 9) of season 1 today~ Gonna see the special after posting this~


Movies:
1. Shrek the Third: was funny, but I had hoped for more Artie scenes...can't wait for the Japanese version 'cause Keita voicing a whiny guy who gets picked on would totally make my day (^.^)
2. Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End: omg! you wouldn't believe the ending! go, go, go watch it asap!

HKdrama  天機算 is not terribly addicting or all that great but I love Steven Ma's acting and singing [he sang the theme song with Joel Chan] (^^) Finished watching the last ep [#20] while doing my daily calisthenics (^^)v Synopsis: http://wiki.d-addicts.com/The_Change_of_Destiny

Finished ep 20 (finale) of HK drama Best Bet 迎妻接福
...wish I could get back the time I spent watching this  (-_-)
The plot was crap and the characters weren't loveable at all!
I swear I felt my IQ dropping (T_T)
*sigh* Cross my fingers and pray the 2 new series that came out today are better~~~

the 1st tvb series to air in 2007 突圍行動 has ended today!
turned out pretty interesting: 25 eps involving a fashion company, illegal horse gambling, and a really messed-up rich family
it also had actors/actresses that i like

the opening theme was sang by steven ma and ron ng (very nice!)

dicey business aka 賭場風雲 aka casino crisis is yet another tvb series i just finished
35 eps of family drama, gambling, love, friendship, & betrayal
(my bro was eternally grateful for the eng sub 'cause canto idioms and modern hk slang goes right over him)

another tvb (a popular tv station in hk) series bites the dust! 
'glittering days' or  東方之珠 (the eng titles for these dramas are never the equivalent to the chn) finally ended at 30 eps
...i would've been happy if it had finished at the usual 20

story takes place in hk during the 1960s
a comedy love story with lots of singing and really soap-ish plots
i'd give it a 5 out of 10 (mostly because i liked making fun of their hair styles/clothes and my mom had fun pointing out the historical stuff they got wrong)

'to grow with love' aka 肥田喜事 is a hk drama i marathon-ed over thanksgiving break with my mom and sis

it's a funny story about a chubby girl who believes even fat ppl deserves nice clothes to wear and a skinny fashion guy who thinks fat ppl are lazy-@$$es (main cast: Myolie Wu and Andy Hui)



21 eps 45 minutes each in under 24 hrs (we rock)

my bro would've joined us but he was in line at bestbuy for black friday (he and his friends were there at 2:30am - at least they passed the time playing poker)

once we were done with the show it was about 8 something in the morning so my sis and i decided to get breakfast (my mom was smart - she went to sleep)

surprise, suprise! my bro was done with spending his money and called to see if anyone was awake for food (he figured i was still online or something, but the idiot forgot i HAD a CELL and called our home phone - it rings pretty loud)

it became a sibling bonding meal...weird! really weird! >_< it kinda freaked me out

my family don't BOND! it was so OUT THERE! totally ruined my EQUILIBRIUM! so much that i TREATED them! (it's rare, i'm usually the broke one)

no turkey this year, but all in all, it wasn't so bad
